Important Notice Regarding Homestead Exemptions

Following the recent tax commitment, the Town identified a software issue that caused the Homestead Exemption to be removed from 46 property accounts.

Of those accounts, 45 were full Homestead Exemptions and 1 was a partial exemption.

All affected accounts have been identified. The Assessor will be issuing abatements to correct the affected tax bills 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟓, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭-𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐟 𝐭𝐚𝐱 𝐝𝐮𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞.

If you review your tax bill and believe your Homestead Exemption is missing, we have most likely already identified your account. However, you are welcome to contact the Town Office and speak with the Tax Collector to verify.
