On-Call Animal Control Officer

This customer service position is dedicated to the safety and welfare of animals and their owners. Job duties include the enforcement of state and municipal laws and ordinances related to the care, control, and licensing of animals within town boundaries. The ACO responds to calls and complaints, gathers information, issues warnings/citations for violations of animal regulations, and drafts reports to document incidents. The ACO locates, restrains, and controls stray or lost animals in a safe manner and transports animals as necessary to a shelter facility.

Part-Time Assessor

The Assessor is responsible for the inspection and assessment of all properties in the Town of Buckfield. This position interacts with the public and the individual must be able to provide exemplary customer service while explaining the tax process, responding to abatement requests, and maintaining records of ownership, taxation records, property cards, tax maps, annual audits, and other relevant assessing documents.
