Immediate Opening: Full-Time Town Clerk / Tax Collector

 

The Town of Buckfield has an immediate opening for a full time Town Clerk / Tax Collector and is seeking a qualified candidate for the position.

 

This highly motivated person will become part of a multifunctional office team and should have some experience as a Maine Town Clerk with duties to include collecting real estate, personal property and excise taxes; registering motor vehicles; issuing hunting and fishing licenses; issuing Town licenses and permits; processing birth, marriage and death records; registering voters and overseeing election duties; providing service to customers at the front desk; performing billing, bookkeeping, and monitoring collections of user accounts.

 

This position also requires knowledge of the following software: NDS or TRIO, CVR, DAVE and MOSES. The Town Clerk must be able to multi-task and work with accuracy in a fast-paced environment and must have sound communication skills and be able to work with the public. A high school education supplemented with post-secondary business courses is desirable or any equivalent combination of experience and training. This is a full time position with benefits. Compensation is dependent upon qualifications and experience.

The Town of Buckfield has an opening for a Deputy Town Clerk / Tax Collector and is seeking a qualified candidate for the position.
