    Rescue Department Rescue Chief: Stacy Blaquiere Deputy Chief: Vacant Captain: Tucker Tardif Phone: (207) 336-2999 Fax: (207) 336-2461 Billing Questions: (207) 892-0020 - Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM In the spring of 2005, the Buckfield Rescue Unit, Inc. was dissolved as an Incorporation and became part of the municipality of Buckfield. The service still consists of dedicated on call employees and per-diem employees. Buckfield Rescue's communities have been designated a Maine HeartSafe Community. HeartSafe Communities is a recognition program based on the "Chain of Survival", which has been implemented in other states and countries to help obtain this goal. Its purpose is to recognize the excellent work being done by Emergency Medical Services (EMS) programs throughout Maine, and to provide further opportunities to enhance community partnerships, resources and services to improve cardiovascular health, and decrease deaths due to cardiovascular-related events, including SCA, Heart Attack and Stroke. The Department is always in need of interested people to join the organization in any capacity. If you are interested, please stop by the Fire-Rescue station or the Town Office for more information. You can also call the station by dialing (207) 336-2999. REMEMBER....DIAL 911 FOR EMERGENCIES The Buckfield Rescue Department holds quarterly business meetings. The meetings start at 6 pm.     Holiday Lighting/Decorating Ad Hoc Committee The purpose of the Holiday Lighting/Decorating Ad Hoc Committee is to provide an opportunity to the residents of the Town of Buckfield to compete in exterior lighting/decorating of their property during a holiday season. The Committee recognizes that it serves at the pleasure of the Select Board and as such represents the community. The Committee agrees to function in compliance with open meeting law and conduct itself in a manner that is professional and above reproach. Members: None

    Recreation Committee The Recreation Committee is responsible for the oversight and management of the Town's recreation programs and facilities. The Committee is always looking for community volunteers to help maintain our facilities, coach youth sports teams, and assist with fundraising. Meetings are usually held the third Sunday evening of each month on an as needed basis and all are welcome to attend. The Buckfield Recreation Committee has established a Venmo account to make collecting registration fees and donations easier for parents and sponsors. You can still pay with Cash or Check at the Town Office, this is just another way to pay for those that prefer this method.
